Fire ban advice 20 September

The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Director, Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Tuesday 21 September 2021 for the following areas.

DARWIN and ADELAIDE RIVER, THE DALY SOUTH, THE GREGORY, and THE CARPENTARIA FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS, THE NORTHERN and KATHERINE FIRE PROTECTION ZONES

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Tuesday 21 September 2021.

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.

This includes the DARWIN, BATCHELOR, ADELAIDE RIVER, PINE CREEK, MATARANKA, BORROLOOLA, TIMBER CREEK, KATHERINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS, the LITCHFIELD MUNICIPALITY and COOMALIE SHIRE.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
