Nascar-Style Trackside Luxury Camping Ahead Of A Blockbuster Spring Event Season

Monday 22 June 2026: Shell V-Power Motorsport Park has today unveiled its new Deluxe Tents — a first for South Australia — bringing fully fitted, NASCAR-style trackside luxury camping to The Bend ahead of its biggest-ever spring event season.

Pitched along pit straight with their own big screen and private grandstand, the tents put fans closer to the action than anywhere else in the state and can be booked for the first time across two major spring events starting this September.

Positioned on pit straight in the heart of the precinct, each Deluxe Tent comes ready to stay in — a real bed, soft furnishings, lounge seating and lighting — with a dedicated big screen and private grandstand reserved for Deluxe Tent guests, plus fire-pit social zones, food and beverage and direct access to the racing. These are Deluxe Tents built for fans who want the atmosphere of trackside camping without the gear, the setup or the compromise.

The launch reflects the way The Bend has reshaped its camping offering across the precinct, giving fans more ways to stay on site and stay in the middle of the action right through the spring calendar.

Shell V-Power Motorsport Park CEO Alistair MacDonald said the Deluxe Tents set a new benchmark for trackside accommodation in South Australia.

“There is nowhere closer to the action in this state. You are camped on pit straight, you have your own big screen and your own grandstand — you never miss a moment,” Mr MacDonald said.

“We have listened to our fans. They love staying trackside, but they also want extra comfort along with a great view. You arrive, you walk in, and everything is done. It is the kind of experience you would normally have to travel interstate for, and now it is here at The Bend.”

The Deluxe Tents are the most exclusive option within The Bend’s new Start-Line infield camping precinct — and with just nine available, they are strictly limited. Positioned opposite the trackside hotel and close to core amenities, Start-Line sits at the centre of the action with direct proximity to pit straight and the main event heartbeat. Fans wanting the same trackside position without a tent can also choose from a limited run of 34 infield caravan sites. Every Start-Line campsite comes with unreserved access to the Pit Straight Grandstand (Block C) and up to six day-passes, so guests holding a valid event ticket can join the site to watch the racing together.

Demand is already running hot. More than half of all AirTouch 500 camping is already sold out, including sites across the Northern Apex, Horizon and Start-Line infield precincts.

The Deluxe Tents can also be converted into glamping packages for corporate days and stays, giving businesses a premium trackside base on pit straight for hosting clients and teams across major event weekends or as a standalone experience. The packages are built for corporate team building, leadership retreats, client hosting, incentive programs and private group experiences, and can be tailored with bespoke on-track add-ons including driving experiences, track cruises and karting. With The Bend sitting alongside Australia’s only certified International Dark Sky Reserve, stargazing packages can also be added for an after-dark experience under some of the clearest skies in the country.

Mr MacDonald said the timing was deliberate, with the tents launching across the venue’s strongest run of events out of winter.

“We wanted to open the Deluxe Tents on our biggest stage. From the Supercars enduro through to The Bend Classic, this is the season to be here — and now you can stay right in the heart of it,” he said.

Deluxe Tents are available to book across The Bend’s major spring events: AirTouch 500 at The Bend — first round of the Repco Supercars Championship Enduro Cup, 11–13 September 2026; and The Bend Classic — country music, camping and classic motorsport across the October long weekend, 2–4 October 2026.

For fans chasing a different kind of weekend, the Deluxe Tents sit alongside a full range of camping zones across the precinct — from the Northern Apex and Horizon campgrounds overlooking the circuit, to infield camping, tent and swag sites and Park ‘n’ View options. Each delivers its own fully immersive experience, from the enduro atmosphere of the AirTouch 500 to the festival vibes of The Bend Classic, so fans can pick the stay that suits their style.

Deluxe Tents are on sale now at www.thebend.com.au, with limited tents available across each event. Early bookings are strongly encouraged, with camping selling out in previous years.
