Please be advised that due to the current flood event facing the Shire – it is anticipated that Renmark Road (section 13km from Silver City Hwy – east side of 10 Mile Bridge) will be impacted and cut-off in the next 2 weeks.
Upon being cut-off, all residents and users of Renmark Rd on the western side of the Greater Anabranch of the River Darling (the “Anabranch”) will need to utilise a temporary detour that will be initiated. This will be via Anabranch Mail Rd, Milpara Rd and Silver City Hwy (click here to view).
On this detour the flood event will additionally impact the culvert crossing over the Anabranch (“Tara Downs Crossing”) – therefore increased inspection and monitoring will occur in order to advise the community in a timely manner of when a secondary detour may need to be initiated. A secondary detour will be via Anabranch Mail Rd and Silver City Hwy (click here to view).
