Former Minister joins DevelopmentWA Board

  • Dean Nalder appointed to DevelopmentWA board
  • Former member of Parliament for eight years
  • Served as a former Minister for Transport, Finance, and Agriculture and Food.

Highly experienced former Western Australian Minister Dean Nalder has been appointed to the DevelopmentWA Board.

Having been elected in 2013, Mr Nalder served as a member of the WA Parliament for eight years.

Elevated as a Minister in 2014, Mr Nalder held a number of high-profile portfolios – including transport and finance. He also served as the Shadow Treasurer of WA.

As a former Minister for Transport, Mr Nalder brings to the Board extensive experience along with a unique insight into tackling urban planning issues and the delivery of infrastructure.

Prior to entering politics, Mr Nalder held senior corporate roles at the ANZ Banking Group and Australia Post.

Mr Nalder will join the Board in late December 2023 and will replace outgoing Board Member Mr Reg Gillard, while Deputy Chair of the DevelopmentWA Board Rebecca Field has been reappointed for a further three years.

As stated by Lands Minister John Carey:
