Forrestfield assault – information sought

Midland Detectives are seeking information regarding an incident in Forrestfield on Thursday, 25 July 2019 in which a man was injured.

Between 3am and 3.50am, a man in his 20s was driving his white 2010 model Toyota Yaris hatchback, along Edinburgh Road, Forrestfield.

As he slowed down a man approached his car and smashed the driver’s window with a baseball bat causing the victim to stop the car. The man armed with the bat and another two men pulled the victim from the car and assaulted him, resulting in a head laceration and stole his mobile phone.

Another motorist drove by and the victim was able to break away and get into his car and drive away.

The men are described as being aged 20 to 25 years old, and with dark skin.

Detectives wish to speak to the driver of the vehicle that passed the incident and anyone who was in the area during the above times who may have seen the assault or the men. Anyone with dashcam footage of the area around Edinburg Road, Hale Road, and Sussex Road Forrestfield between 3am and 4am on 25 July 2019 are urged to come forward.
