Fourth person charged with murder after fatal Castle Hill fall – Strike Force Sunbach

Detectives investigating the death of man at Castle Hill last month have today charged a fourth person with murder.

Strike Force Sunbach was formed to investigate the death of a 44-year-old man, who was found critically injured outside a unit complex in Crane Road about 2.40am on Sunday 17 May 2026.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene; however, he could not be revived.

Officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command and North West Metropolitan Region, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, commenced an investigation.

Since then, detectives have arrested and charged two men, aged 30 and 38, and a 34-year-old woman with murder; they remain before the courts.

About 2.45am today (Sunday 14 June 2026), officers attached to Kings Cross Police Area Command arrested a 31-year-old man on Forbes Street, Woolloomooloo, on an outstanding warrant for the offence of murder.

He was taken to Kings Cross Police Station and has now been charged with murder.

He’s been refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 7 tomorrow (Monday 15 June 2026).
