Visitors to K’gari (Fraser Island) are reminded to be dingo safe after two people, a woman and boy, were bitten on Thursday evening (28 February) near Eurong Beach.
QPWS rangers are investigating the circumstances of the incident and have increased patrols in search of the dingoes involved. Future actions will be considered after assessing the information gathered.
Rangers will also increase patrols at campgrounds and other island arrival points to warn visitors of the dangers associated with dingoes.
