Fun-packed program for school holidays 21 September

Young Territorians are in for a fun break this school holidays with more than 400 activities on offer across the Territory.

Kicking off this Friday 22 September once school is out, the school holiday calendar offers a diverse range of events including drama, fashion and photography workshops or come and try skating, BMX, rock climbing and boxing sessions.

Alice Springs has more than 90 activities on offer, ranging from hip-hop and dance workshops in pop-up parks, youth skate and BMX workshops, ninja courses, a family band night and outings on Country. Both the GAP and Brown Street Youth Centres will also be offering activities throughout the holidays and the Alice Springs Library will host holiday activities including reptile handling with the Alice Springs Reptile Centre and a 3D Printing Workshop.

The Barkly region is hosting over 90 events with a focus on arts and crafts, sport and wellbeing. Activities featured in the calendar include 3 x 3 basketball this Monday 25 September and a BBQ Breakfast for Mental Health Week next Tuesday 3 October.

Katherine will host more than 40 activities for all ages including skateboarding, bike maintenance, E-sports, arts and craft days, pool parties, glow in the dark art parties, roller skating and more.

In the East Arnhem region there are 39 activities in Nhulunbuy and communities in the Gove Peninsula and surrounding homelands including boxing workshops, skateboarding and photography lessons.

In the Darwin and Palmerston regions there are more than 150 activities on offer with The SHAK at Sanderson Middle School hosting a number of activities in Darwin, and the Palmerston Youth Drop in Centre to host activities for young people including Street Art with Jimmy Bamble and a Robotic Science event. LAUNCH Darwin’s Geek Up, an afternoon of geeky activities for young people aged 15-25 will be on this Sunday 24 September at the Casuarina Library.
