Further charges after Glen Huntly armed robbery 13 September

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a third teenager in relation to an armed robbery in Glen Huntly last week.

It is alleged a 14-year-old boy was confronted by unknown offenders in a Volkswagen Tiguan about 3.35pm on Monday 4 September.

The teen was forced into the vehicle which was then driven along Neerim Road.

A short time later the victim has come out of the moving vehicle, in unknown circumstances, near the intersection of Grange Road.

He sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

A 14-year-old Langwarrin girl was arrested in Langwarrin this morning.

She has been charged with multiple offences, including conduct endangering serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, dangerous driving, armed robbery, robbery, theft of motor vehicle and possessing proceeds of crime.

She has been bailed to appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.

The investigation remains ongoing.
