GBH charge at West End, QLD

South Brisbane detectives have charged a woman with grievous bodily harm after a man was injured during an altercation at West End this afternoon.

Police will allege an argument between a man and woman occurred on the footpath in Boundary Street, near the intersection with Melbourne Street shortly before 4pm during which time the man sustained two stab wounds to his arm.

The woman fled the scene however she was arrested in the nearby vicinity soon after by police.

A 49-year-old Moorooka man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment to a serious arm injury.

A 47-year-old Cunnamulla woman has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.

The pair were known to each other.
