Territory business Gold Medal Services has been awarded the Minister’s Award for Excellence in the Defence Industry.
The organisation took out the prestigious award for its work in aligning business with Defence operational capability and service contingency, and constantly ensuring the ageing estate infrastructure is sustained over the longer term and has no impacts on Defence operations.
The Minister’s Award for Excellence in the Defence Industry recognises the outstanding contribution a Territory business is making to support Defence. This includes the Australian Army, Navy, Air Force and Border Force.
The award also highlights the work nominated local businesses have done improving the Territory’s delivery and reputation, as part of efforts to grow the region’s defence support sector.
The winner of the Minister’s Award for Excellence in the Defence Industry received $5,000 to contribute to Professional business development.
The Award has been running for more than 10 years, with a number of businesses recognised for their ongoing commitment to excellence in this field.
