Hapless Dr Broad officially in witness protection

Jane Howlett, Liberal Member for Prosser

Hapless Dr Broad remains in hiding, refusing to apologise to Tasmanians for his unhinged tirade in the last sitting of Parliament.

Liberal Member for Prosser, Jane Howlett, said that Tasmanians are still waiting for their apology from Dr Broad.

“Dr Broad hasn’t fronted the media since his angry outburst,” Ms Howlett said.

“Dr Broad knows he’s in the wrong. Instead of fronting up and owning up for this outrageous attack, he’s gone into hiding,” Ms Howlett said.

“His complete disregard for anyone with a differing opinion than him is below the standard expected of Members of Parliament in Tasmania.

“Tasmanians deserve better.

“True to form, Ms White has happily guided her factional opponent into the political freezer, so she can fully focus on stabilising the pool of quicksand that has become her leadership.

“To call thousands of footy-loving Tasmanians, just a group of “middle-aged males” with the potential to get a “little bit of a crazy bent, to go and do something stupid” is misinformed at best and rank misogyny at worst.

“Despite his silence, tens of thousands of Tasmanians, stemming from all walks of life have now seen his true colours.

“Dr Broad might be able to hide from the media but he can’t hide in the Parliament, and we will be holding him to account for his offensive comments,” Ms Howlett concluded.
