A Pascoe Vale man blew more than his nose when he tossed a tissue from a car at Heidelberg West, an action that cost him hundreds of dollars in court.
The man was a passenger in a Toyota ute sitting at traffic lights on Murray Road on 20 March 2023, when a witness saw him toss the tissue out the window.
He later entered a plea of guilty on a charge of unlawfully depositing waste. The Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court found the charge proven but did not record a conviction. Instead, the man gave an undertaking to be of good behaviour for three months and was ordered to donate $370 to a fund managed by EPA Victoria that pays for community-based environmental projects.
