Homemade firearms located at Plympton Park

A man has been charged with firearms offences after police searched his Plympton Park home yesterday.

Following an investigation, about 7.40pm Friday 28 July police from Netley along with PD Orbit from the Dog Operations Unit attended and searched an address under the Firearms Act.

Inside police located a home-made loaded break-action .22 rifle, several other firearms and parts, a 3D printer and drill press.

A 31-year-old Plympton Park man was arrested charged for aggravated prescribed firearm and possess firearm without licence. He was refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday.
