Police have charged four men with murder as part of ongoing investigations into the death of a 21-year-old man following a serious assault at Bahrs Scrub last month.
Around 2.15am on 26 July, police were called to Discovery Boulevard following reports of a large disturbance involving a group of people.
Upon arrival, officers located several vehicles along the street with significant damage, as well as damage to a nearby residence.
Police were subsequently alerted to a 21-year-old Redbank Plains man nearby on Orchard Avenue suffering significant head injuries.
He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, where he died as a result of his injuries on 1 August.
Following extensive investigations, Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch and the Homicide Investigation Unit yesterday executed 14 simultaneous search warrants across the Logan, South Brisbane, and Ipswich police districts.
A number of people were arrested as a result of the coordinated operation.
An 18-year-old Collingwood Park man has been charged with one count of murder.
An 18-year-old MacGregor man has been charged with one count of murder.
A 19-year-old Doolandella man has been charged with one count of murder.
A 19-year-old Inala man has been charged with one count of murder.
A 22-year-old Heathwood man has been charged with one count contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.
All are due to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 7 August.
Investigations remain ongoing.
