South Australians will be in line for significant savings for their water and electricity from today, as the Marshall Government continues to deliver on its promise of driving down the cost of living.
As from today there will be huge hip-pocket relief, which will deliver an average $200 per year saving on water bills.
In addition to that, for some SA households there will be savings of up to $127 on electricity, which equates to savings of up to $190 on electricity since the election for some South Australian households.
These savings follow cheaper ESL bills ($163.60), reduced car rego costs through lower CTP Insurance premiums ($100) and a doubling of sports vouchers for primary school kids ($100).
Hardworking South Australian families are, on average, more than $660 per year better off under the Marshall Liberal Government since the election.
“We are delivering significant cost of living relief for families that will continue to ease the squeeze on household budgets right across the state,” said Treasurer Rob Lucas.
“The contrast with the former Labor Government could not be more stark.
“Under the previous Labor Government electricity bills jumped $477 in just two years, the ESL increased by $168 for an average home and water bills increased by a staggering 232 per cent.
“After enduring massive hikes under Labor, hardworking families and local businesses finally have a government that backs them and keeps their promises on lower costs.”
