Investigations are continuing after the discovery of a body in Tara following a bushfire on the Western Downs overnight, October 24.
The remains were located near a dam at approximately 6.30pm, and recovered at 11.25pm.
Detectives from Dalby are currently on scene, and investigations remain ongoing.
The remains will be forensically examined to confirm the identity; however, police believe they could be those of a missing adult male.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
