Immerse yourself in a glittering, light-filled garden this Christmas! Thousands of twinkling fairy lights will illuminate the pathways and arbour of the newly refurbished Roxborough Park Rose Garden as The Shire’s much-loved festive lights display, ‘Illuminate the Hills at Christmas’, brightens the summer evenings.
Beautiful blooms will glow under shining lights adorning the garden’s twin pine trees, as Santa’s sparkling sleigh and a nativity scene nestle between them on the green lawns.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Peter Gangemi, will launch the event on Thursday December 15, and is encouraging people to visit the garden.
“Christmas is a favourite time of year when we can relax with friends and family, enjoying longer days and warmer weather,” Mayor Gangemi said.
“We wanted to celebrate the wonderful results achieved with the refurbishment of our Shire’s most beautiful garden, and what better way to do this than at Christmas time by transforming it into a magical, festive place for residents and visitors to enjoy.
“I encourage everyone to wander through the garden and share in the spirit of Christmas,” he added.
Illuminate The Hills at Christmas will light up each evening around 7.30pm from Thursday 15 to Tuesday 27 December 2022 at the Roxborough Park Rose Garden, Roxborough Park Road, Baulkham Hills – next to Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre. Sing along with Christmas carollers on Thursday 15 December, as well as Fridays and Saturday nights.
