Officers from the Heavy Vehicle Unit impounded a car which was allegedly travelling at high speed along the Monash Freeway on Sunday afternoon.
Police detected the car travelling at an alleged 157km/h on the Monash Freeway at Dandenong about 1.50pm on 25 September.
The car was intercepted and the driver, a 25-year-old man from Campbellfield, was spoken to.
He has had his car impounded for a period of 30 days and he has incurred impound costs $1006.
He is expected to be charged on summons for traffic offences including exceed speed limit and speed dangerous.
