Police have charged a man following an incident at the Electoral Office of Dr Anne ALY on 5 August 2019.
It will be alleged that the man entered the office on Wanneroo Road, Madeley and produced a large knife.
Police arrested the man and he was conveyed to Joondalup Health Campus for assessment.
No threats were made and nobody was injured during the incident.
A 55 year old man from Clarkson has been charged with Being Armed in a Way That May Cause Fear. He will appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on 2 September 2019.
