I have submitted my final report Future structure and governance arrangements for the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) to Senator the Hon Murray Watt, Minister for Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry for the government’s consideration.
Consistent with my terms of reference, the report includes various recommendations regarding the future structure and governance of the APVMA and its funding framework.
Providing the report is a milestone. I take this opportunity to extend my thanks to officers of the APVMA in particular, who met with me on several occasions and provided their views which assisted in shaping my package of reforms.
