Council staff continue to inspect and clean up flood debris from Central Coast beaches and foreshores and will continue to do so for some weeks.

Roads & Drainage Works

Council is committed to maintaining the local roads, drainage and footpaths across the Central Coast and manage a road network of over 2,000 kilometre across the region. The road network across the Coast has been further impacted by the recent storm events in early July and Council is continuing to assess the damage from the latest storm event. Sites have been made safe however temporary road closures may remain in place in some locations while sites are assessed for remediation works. Intense and continual rainfall over several months has resulted in a significant number of potholes which continue to be repaired. Read the Pothole fact sheet.

Council strategically plans road and drainage works as part of the annual capital works program and road projects account for 20.4 percent of Council’s capital works budget for FY2021-22. An interactive map showing this financial year’s Road and drainage capital works program is available on Council’s website, centralcoast.gov.au
