Investigation launched after man shot – Greenacre

Police are investigating after a man was shot outside a Greenacre home this morning.

About 10.25am (Wednesday 26 July 2023), emergency services were called to a home on Narelle Crescent, Greenacre, after reports of shots fired.

On arrival, police located a 31-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

It’s understood the man was outside the home when he was approached by an unknown person and shot.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command – assisted by State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups and Raptor Squads – have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

Investigations are in their infancy; however it’s believed to be a targeted incident.
