Cricket Victoria today advises that Jane Nathan has joined the Cricket Victoria Board, filling a casual vacancy created by David Hussey’s departure to the Melbourne Stars.

Ms Nathan has a long professional history in local government and was the first female elected to the committee at the MCC.

Ms Nathan is also the Chair of the Mullagh-Wills Foundation which recognises the tremendous achievements of the Aboriginal Cricket Team in the late 1860s, in particular the match against the MCC at the MCG in 1866 and the tour of England in 1868.

Ms Nathan will remain on the Board until Cricket Victoria’s AGM in August.

Cricket Victoria Chairman Paul Barker welcomed Ms Nathan.

“I’d like to welcome Jane to the Board and I look forward to working with her on the opportunities ahead of us,” Mr Barker said.
