Launceston will come alive with arts and culture this weekend as Junction Arts Festival returns to Princes Square for its 16th year.
The festival features more than 35 events across theatre, immersive performances, dance, contemporary art installations and live music.
Liberal Member for Windemere, Nick Duigan, said Junction Arts Festival was a highlight on the Northern events calendar each year.
“Junction has become a must-visit cultural event, delivering great vibes and an important economic contribution to the region,” Minister Duigan said.
“The festival brings people into Launceston from across Tasmania and beyond, providing visitors with another reason to experience our State during the cooler months.
“We are building an even better Tasmania by supporting our tourism and hospitality industry and showcasing our city as a fantastic place to visit.
“Through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future, we’re continuing to support a strong events calendar that attracts visitors to our regions and showcases Tasmania’s outstanding arts, food and cultural experiences.”
