Mitchell Shire Council is excited to see the Juvenilia exhibition coming to Seymour Library.
This exhibition showcases the juvenilia (work produced by an author or artist while they were a child) of Australian children’s authors and illustrators and their early attempts at storytelling.
Whether it’s handwriting stories on scrap paper or drawing pictures in pencil, some of today’s most prominent creators of children’s books started when they were children.
To celebrate its arrival, Mitchell Shire Libraries are holding a launch event on Friday 17 March at 4.30pm.
Come and meet the curator and author Aimee Chan and get a book signed by international Star Wars illustrator Chris Kennett.
There will be featured work from Andy Griffiths, Alison Lester, Graeme Base, Ursula Dubosarsky, Danny Katz, Oliver Phommavanh and many more.
