Kings Park Education is excited to launch its Noongar Boodja Six Seasons festivals for 2021, a celebration of local Aboriginal culture, proudly presented by Fugro.
The six three-day ‘mini-festivals’ will celebrate the changing seasons and invite primary school students to learn about Aboriginal culture in the heart of Whadjuk Noongar Country.
Local Aboriginal educators will share their knowledge of the six seasons of Noongar culture through fun, interactive programs showing students how traditional Noongar life changed with the seasons of the year.
Students will participate in cultural activities linked to each season including hunting, plant uses for food and medicine, language, art, dance and traditional games.
The program will enhance respect for Aboriginal people, appreciation for diversity in our community and a sense of responsibility for caring for our natural environment.
Fugro has been a valued supporter of Aboriginal cultural education in Kings Park for years and is pleased to be extending its support of the popular Noongar Boodja Six Season festivals.

“Kings Park Education welcomes nearly 30,000 students each year who take part in a range of interactive programs across three streams – STEM, cultural heritage and wellbeing.
“Kings Park Education is a leader in providing immersive cultural heritage programs to school students in Western Australia.
“Eighteen days of Noongar Boodja Six Seasons festivals across 2021 will provide up to 5,000 students the opportunity to join in the action-packed program and learn more about the value of caring for Country (Noongar boodja-k katitjin).”
