Kings Park Education’s popular Noongar cultural festivals are back

  • Kings Park Education’s popular Noongar Boodja Six Seasons festivals are back for 2021
  • Local Aboriginal presenters will share their knowledge of the six seasons of Noongar culture with primary school students across Perth
  • Kings Park Education is excited to launch its Noongar Boodja Six Seasons festivals for 2021, a celebration of local Aboriginal culture, proudly presented by Fugro.

The six three-day ‘mini-festivals’ will celebrate the changing seasons and invite primary school students to learn about Aboriginal culture in the heart of Whadjuk Noongar Country.

Local Aboriginal educators will share their knowledge of the six seasons of Noongar culture through fun, interactive programs showing students how traditional Noongar life changed with the seasons of the year.

Students will participate in cultural activities linked to each season including hunting, plant uses for food and medicine, language, art, dance and traditional games.

The program will enhance respect for Aboriginal people, appreciation for diversity in our community and a sense of responsibility for caring for our natural environment.

Fugro has been a valued supporter of Aboriginal cultural education in Kings Park for years and is pleased to be extending its support of the popular Noongar Boodja Six Season festivals.
