The Allan Labor Government’s financial incompetence is adding to the cost-of-living crisis for Victorian households.
Victoria’s record debt, projected to soar towards $200 billion in the next three years, is contributing to inflationary pressures as costs on major projects blow out by more than $30 billion.
Shadow Treasurer, Brad Rowswell, said: “Victorians are being hit twice by Labor’s financial mismanagement, with households and businesses now paying for blowouts though higher taxes as well as increased cost-of-living pressures due to higher inflation.
“The latest interest rate increase will add an additional $100 to average monthly mortgage payments for Victorian households and families.
“But if that’s not bad enough, Labor’s financial mismanagement is making life harder for households and businesses as its waste and incompetence drives up taxes and the cost-of-living.
“Only the Liberals and Nationals can lower taxes, reduce the waste and ease cost of living pressures for Victorians.”
