In a sign of the two parties’ blossoming relationship, the Liberals and the Greens have once again voted together in support of increased taxes to Tasmanians.
By voting against Lara Alexander’s motion welcoming the Government’s decision to abandon their unfair fire tax model, both parties have also shown they don’t care about Tasmanians in a cost-of-living crisis.
Today’s coming together follows the Liberal-Green alliance on the bin tax, and raises the obvious question – what’s next?
Hard working Tasmanians are doing it tough, and are being regularly forced to make extremely difficult decisions about which essentials to go without.
The last thing Tasmanians need in a cost-of-living crisis is more tax, and many would be mortified to see the Liberals and the Greens teaming up in support of exactly that.
