All Infringements were issued for bringing liquor into an alcohol protected area.

Commander Kylie Anderson said “Our members are on the frontline everyday working to protect and serve the community.

“The supply of illicit substances into vulnerable communities remains a catalyst for serious offending including domestic violence and community unrest. There is absolutely no excuse for anyone who perpetuates this type of harm.

“We have seen recent instances of community unrest across the West Daly Region. Police will continue to hold offenders to account whilst also engaging with community members, traditional owners and elders to ensure effective strategies are in place to reduce further offending.

“I commend the tireless work of local members who removed a significant amount of alcohol and responded to a large number of disturbances across the region over the weekend.”
