A 29-year-old Ararat man has handed himself in to police after an alleged lewd act which occurred in an Ararat fast food outlet last month.
It is alleged a man inappropriately touched himself while looking at a female staff member at the restaurant on Sunday 17 January.
The 29-year-old is currently assisting police with their enquires.
Police would like to thank the community and media for their assistance.
