Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following an alleged fatal stabbing in Kangaroo Flat on Saturday.
It is believed an altercation allegedly took place between two men at a motel on High Street about 10.30pm.
Witnesses heard the confrontation and located a 49-year-old Kangaroo Flat man with suspected stab wounds.
He was treated by first responders but died at the scene.
A 25-year-old Kangaroo Flat man was arrested at the motel a short time later and has subsequently been charged with murder.
He has been remanded to face Bendigo Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
It is believed the men were known to each other.
