A man has died after a single vehicle crash in the state’s central west this morning.
About 6.45am (Monday 22 June 2026), emergency services were called to approximately 3km west of the intersection of Yarrabandai Road and The Bogan Way, Forbes, following reports a car had hit a tree.
Officers attached to Central West Police District attended and found a car had left the roadway and hit a tree, trapping the driver inside the vehicle.
The male driver was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he could not be revived and died at the scene.
Police have established a crime scene and officers attached to Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the cause of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
