Man found with meth, fantasy at Hackham, South Australia

A man will face court today charged with drug trafficking, money laundering and weapons offences after a traffic stop at Hackham yesterday.

About 1.45pm on Monday 11 April, a Southern Traffic patrol stopped a motorcycle in Lance Avenue, Hackham.

The rider, a 45-year-old Hackham man, was searched and it will be alleged he was in possession of approximately 270 grams of methamphetamine, about 135 millilitres of liquid suspected of being GBH or fantasy and approximately $20,000 in cash.

A subsequent search of his home resulted in the seizure of 450 millilitres of a liquid suspected to be fantasy, about 215 grams of cannabis, a number of prohibited weapons and a quantity of ammunition.

The Hackham man was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, money laundering, four counts of possessing a prohibited weapon and possessing ammunition without a licence.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 12 April.
