Man with down syndrome missing from Bankstown

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Bankstown.

Minh Thanh Nguyen, aged 41, was last seen at a home on Mrytle Road, Bankstown, about 1pm today (Sunday 9 April 2023).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were immediately notified and commenced inquiries to locate him.

Family and police hold concerns for his welfare due to Minh living with down syndrome and requiring regular care.

Minh is described as being of Asian appearance, about 152cm tall, of medium build, with short, dark hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a maroon jumper, a blue and white ‘bulldogs’ hat, and dark shorts. It is believed he is carrying an old backpack and plastic bag.

Anyone with information about Minh’s whereabouts is urged to contact Bankstown Police or Triple Zero (000).
