Mini-inspired couture unveiled at Coles Little Shop swap day

Hundreds of fans line up for official swap days across the country to help complete their mini collections

The unofficial ‘Queen of Little Shop’ has caused a sensation this morning as she unveiled her next spectacular creation inspired by the popular second series of the Coles mini collection.

Melbourne drag performance artist Art Simone officially revealed her Little Shop 2 supermarket couture at the official Swap Day at Westfield Southland, as hundreds of fans across the country lined up at Coles to help complete their collections.

Ms Simone was the runner up in last year’s Ultimate Little Shopper competition with her stunning mini-inspired headpiece that made headlines across Australia.

She is encouraging Little Shop 2 fans to enter this year’s competition for the chance to win full Little Shop collector sets and Coles Gift Cards.

“I’ve been painstakingly sorting minis to create this stunning headpiece awash with colour, making sure I recycled the magnificent minis from last year,” she said.

“The dress itself is made entirely from the adorable Coles Little Shop 2 Apron and Shopping Bag Sets.

“There are so many creative ways you can use your minis – use them as fridge magnets, for a costume, or just for the dollhouse!

Last year I collected the cute Little Shop minis and created a showstopping headpiece. I posted it on Instagram with the #UltimateLittleShopper hashtag and then tagged Coles and came runner up – but I still think I should have won first prize!”

Coles insights show the Vegemite mini is again very popular with fans, with the Coles Gift Card a surprise favorite along with the mini Moccona.
