Ministerial Creative Industries Advisory Council – Call for Expressions of Interest

Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities

The Northern Territory Government is committed to supporting economically and artistically thriving creative industries in the Northern Territory and is seeking members for the newly-established Creative Industries Advisory Council (CIAC).

The CIAC will provide expert advice and feedback to the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage on matters related to the economic development and growth of the Northern Territory’s creative industries.

Creative industries are businesses where creativity is central to the goods and services they provide.

The Council will be made of up to seven members who will develop strategies to build entrepreneurial partnerships with business, community, and non-NT companies, and promote the Northern Territory locally and nationally.

The creative industries strengthen the Territory’s economy through the professional creation, production, distribution and dissemination of entrepreneurial creative enterprises.

Actively practicing industry leaders, such as professional artists, producers, business managers and independent company leaders, across a range of art forms including music, performing arts, visual arts and literature are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
