Recently, several EU-funded Swedish AI initiatives came together to establish a more structured collaboration. Our shared ambition is clear: To amplify the impact of our work and strengthen support for researchers, public sector organisations, and companies that are developing and deploying AI solutions.
What started as a discussion about synergies and knowledge sharing quickly turned into a conversation about concrete opportunities for collaboration between the AI initiatives: Sweden AI Facory, TEF-Health, CitCom, Health Data Sweden, ShiftLabs, DigitHub and Aero. Together, we form a shared AI ecosystem in which our different strengths, expertise and areas of focus complement one another.
“It is extremely valuable for us to coordinate our efforts, enabling us to offer a broader range of support services for developing AI, and provide better guidance in what is quite a complex ecosystem of services,” says Johanna Furuhjelm, who coordinates TEF-Health in Sweden via Centre for AI Innovation at Karolinska Intitutet.

Part of the EU digital strategy
The participating initiatives represent EDIHs (Eureopan Digital Innovation Hubs), TEFs (Test and Experimentation Facilities) and an AIF (AI Factories), each fully or partly funded by the European Union Digital Programme and contributing unique expertise within the AI field.
