Missing elderly man at Oxley

Police are seeking urgent public assistance to locate an 82-year-old Oxley man who was reported missing from a care facility earlier today, July 5.

Peter McCallum was last seen leaving a property on Seventeen Mile Rocks Road on foot around 2pm and was reported missing when he did not return home for dinner.

Friends and family are concerned for his welfare due to his age and he has a medical condition.

Residents in the nearby area are asked to check their properties for any signs of Peter.

Peter is known to be quite active and often goes walking, but his disappearance is out of character.

While his whereabouts is unknown, Peter could possibly be in the Taringa area.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 200cm tall, he is balding with grey hair and a slim build.

Anyone who sees Peter is urged to immediately contact police.
