More than 1,000 officers and sailors in the Royal Australian Navy will spend this Mother’s Day at sea on operations and exercises, away from their mothers and children.
These include crew members on HMAS Adelaide conducting essential training off the Queensland coast, HMAS Parramatta returning from a three-month South East Asia deployment, HMAS Toowoomba on Operation Manitou in waters off the Middle East Region, and Navy’s patrol boats on Operation Resolute in the north of Australia.
