Multiple Property Crime Charges At Ipswich

Detectives from the Ipswich District Property Crime Unit have charged a 17-year-old boy with 21 offences following multiple alleged break-ins across south-east Queensland recently.

It will be alleged the boy unlawfully entered properties and vehicles across the Ipswich, South Brisbane and Moreton regions between February 9 and March 19.

No one was physically injured during the alleged offences.

Following extensive investigations, detectives arrested the 17-year-old Biddeston boy overnight, March 18.

He has been charged with 21 offences including: one count each of trespass on railway, possess tainted property, possess dangerous drugs, possess by night instrument of house breaking, and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, two counts each of attempted enter dwelling with intent, and enter dwelling with intent by break, three counts each of enter dwelling and commit, and enter premises and commit indictable offence, and four counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle.

His bail was refused, and he is due to appear at Ipswich Childrens Court today, March 19.

Investigations are continuing.
