While negotiations regarding an NBL team in Tasmania continue, a deal has not yet been reached.
As Tasmanians would expect, careful due diligence needs to be undertaken to ensure absolute value for taxpayer money, with community and economic benefits front and centre of considerations.
Discussions involve all levels of Government and any speculation on a funding model is premature and subject to ongoing negotiation.
