Frank Daly has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer for the Northern Territory Department of Health.
Dr Daly comes into the role with more than 30 years of experience in health care working as a clinician, academic and more recently as a health service executive providing advice across Australia and New Zealand on health care system reforms.
During his clinical career, Dr Daly specialised in emergency medicine and medical toxicology.
In his capacity as Chief Executive of the Child and Adolescent Health Service in Western Australia, Dr Daly demonstrated a track record of working closely with stakeholder groups to achieve positive outcomes. This experience has included providing specialist care for Aboriginal children and families from remote areas of Western Australia.
Dr Daly holds a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and post graduate qualifications in medicine and business leadership.
Appointed following a national recruitment process, Dr Daly will formally commence the position on 7 June 2021 and replaces former Chief Executive Catherine Stoddard, who served the Territory with distinction.
