New home sites released to boost land supply in Goldfields

  • New residential lots released for pre-sale at family-friendly GreenView at Karlkurla
  • Stage 4 at popular Kalgoorlie estate offers 28 single home sites and one group housing site, with civil works now underway

Residential land supply in Kalgoorlie-Boulder has received a major boost today with the release of 28 new single residential lots and one grouped housing lot, at the family-friendly GreenView at Karlkurla estate.

Located in Kalgoorlie’s North West sector and neighbouring the Kalgoorlie Golf Course, GreenView Estate is key to the area’s long-term residential land supply, with three lots to be delivered as social housing to provide homes for the most vulnerable members of the community.

The Cook Government has invested $6.6 million to deliver this stage of development, which marks the first residential land to be released at GreenView since late 2021.

Stage 4 today sees the release of 28 single residential lots and one grouped housing site, for pre-sale providing a boost to residential land supply in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Site works for this latest stage have already commenced and are expected to be complete by end of January, with the first titles expected to be issued by March 2024.

As stated by Lands and Housing Minister John Carey:

“Our Government is using every lever we can to bolster the supply of housing throughout Western Australia including through making land available to facilitate a pipeline of housing supply.

“Through our Government’s Regional Land Booster initiative launched three years ago, our land development program and Regional Development Assistance Program, we’ve added a total of 253 residential lots with 250 sold in Kalgoorlie across the Karlkurla Grove, Karlkurla Rise and GreenView estates.

“In order to attract people to live and work in the area, we need to ensure they have housing diversity and options available to them.

“We’re also ensuring social housing delivery is bolstered through this development, with three lots to be delivered as social housing to provide homes to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.”

Comments attributed to Kalgoorlie MLA Ali Kent:

“The Goldfields region continues its strong economic growth. I have been advocating to the Cook Labor Government about the need to provide new land supply that will meet the demands of our growing population.

“It’s exciting to see the injection of $6.6 million to deliver this stage of development, which marks the first residential land to be released at GreenView since late 2021.”
