New restaurant Rozelle’s opens at Carrick Hill

Carrick Hill’s new casual dining restaurant Rozelle’s is now open, in a further boost to jobs in the hospitality sector.

Rozelle’s offers incredible views over Adelaide and down to the sea surrounded by the beautiful gardens and extensive grounds of Carrick Hill.

The long-anticipated restaurant is operated by the Favaro family, the iconic hospitality family behind popular Adelaide venues Chianti and Bar Torino on Hutt Street.

Visitors can expect to enjoy a range of wood fire oven inspired dishes to share including pizzas, adjacent to the historic museum.

The new restaurant is possible thanks in part to a $1 million investment by the State Government in the construction of Carrick Hill’s new pavilion.

The Malinauskas Government has partnered with the Favaro Group to open the $7.2 million restaurant and function centre on the grounds at Springfield as we continue to support South Australia’s hospitality sector and create jobs as it bounces back from the impacts of the pandemic.

Rozelle’s will be open Wednesday to Sunday as well as on most public holidays from 10am-4:30pm. It will also be available for private hire outside Carrick Hill opening hours.

The Pavilion and Rozelle’s project was made possible through $3 million in Federal Government funding under the Adelaide City Deal, support from the State Government ($1 million) and the Carrick Hill Development Foundation ($3.265m million) via its fundraising and donation network.

The Favaro family has already brought South Australia two of its favourite venues with Chianti and Bar Torino in the city, and now they have given us a fabulous new offering in the Adelaide foothills.

The Malinauskas Government invested $1 million to support the construction of the new pavilion where Rozelle’s is located and the combination of stunning scenery, remarkable artworks and delicious Italian food is sure to make for an unforgettable cultural experience.

I’m certain that locals and tourists alike will relish the opportunity to experience this gorgeous new restaurant at Carrick Hill.

I’m so please that the Australian Government has supported this fantastic project and I look forward to trying the new menu soon.

Visitors can enjoy a menu driven by our family’s love of food and sharing. The menu is everything we love about relaxed Italian food and dining. Rozelle’s is a place where you can visit and have a good time with your people.

More than anything, Rozelle’s will be about celebrating great food in good company which makes it the perfect place to enjoy a day out with friends or family.

As put by Carrick Hill Director Susan McCormack

This partnership pays homage to the warm hospitality of the Hayward family who built and lived in Carrick Hill before giving it to the people of South Australia.

The Favaro Group is known for their exceptional focus on service, their family ethos and their love of hosting and presenting great food to guests. The Haywards were famous for these qualities too. We cannot imagine bringing a better partnership to Carrick Hill and seeing it come to life within this new venue.

Visitors can come just for a meal or add in a stroll in the arts and crafts gardens, a visit to the House Museum to be inspired by its extensive art collection or try something a bit more strenuous and explore the bushland and the full 100-acre site.

Rozelle’s and the development of The Pavilion is a true collaborative partnership and we look forward to bringing a great experience to Carrick Hill’s visitors.
