Cycling, scooting and walking along Gnangara Road in Ellenbrook is now safer and smoother thanks to the new shared cycle path installed between Henley Brook Avenue and Egerton Drive.
The shared path will provide better access for pedestrians and cyclists, and make it safer and easier for students and families to reach Swan Valley Anglican School.
The path upgrade was funded by the Department of Transport through the WA Bike Network Grants program, and will play a role in number of upcoming community events, including the City of Swan’s 2023 Bike in the Valley community cycling event.
The shared path installation is part of the Gnangara Road Dual Carriageway project to improve safety and reduce congestion and travel times for all road users in the area.
Road works on the new carriageway between Henley Brook Avenue and Egerton Drive are now complete and construction of remaining sections are expected to commence in early 2023.
