Notre Dame launches online courses to help Australians reskill post COVID-19

The University of Notre Dame Australia is drawing on its fields of expertise and offering a wide selection of online courses in response to the Federal Government’s Higher Education Relief Package to assist Australians to develop new skills and retrain in priority areas for a post-pandemic society.

The Relief Package announced by Education Minister Dan Tehan on 12 April was introduced to meet the skill demands for the new economy that will emerge from the pandemic and support workers who have been displaced by COVID-19 and are looking to take their career in a new direction and develop their skills via remote learning.

Notre Dame University has enhanced its online learning platform to continue to provide its personalised approach and high academic standards for students throughout and beyond the pandemic. The University is also tapping into its expertise and strong industry ties, as well as expanding online offerings, to support the upskilling and retraining of workers in areas of critical need in Australia, including healthcare, nursing, teaching and science.

Recently Notre Dame launched online courses to upskill healthcare professionals. As a result of the overwhelming response, further sessions were scheduled. The demand highlighted how Notre Dame’s courses and expertise in the fields of healthcare and teaching can help meet community needs in critical areas. Our other online courses also align with our commitment to educating the future workforce in priority areas of study and continuing to deliver high standards of academic excellence.

Available online courses include:

Study in these areas can be extended further to achieve Graduate Diplomas and Master qualifications.

There are also online courses on offer from the School of Business, the School of Law, and the School of Philosophy and Theology. All courses are presented by expert tutors and thought leaders in their respective fields, offering new students the opportunity to learn from some of the foremost academics in Australia.
