Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was assaulted and robbed by a group of unknown males in Sydney’s north west overnight.
Around 10.10pm (Sunday 29 March 2020), a 23-year-old man was walking along Sanders Crescent in Kings Langley when he was approached by up to seven males.
The 23-year-old was struck to the back of the head and the group demanded he hand over his wallet and phone.
He was hit a number of times before he fell to the ground and handed over his phone.
A 19-year-old man heard the altercation from his home nearby and threatened to call police. The group of males became aggressive and began to walk towards the house before the 19-year-old’s mother intervened and the group of males ran from the scene towards Buchan Place.
Officers attached to Quakers Hill Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, with a second crime scene established at Hartam Street.
The 23-year-old was taken to Blacktown District Hospital to be treated for cuts to his face and head.
The group of males is described as being African in appearance and aged between 15-16 years.
