Three people have been arrested as part of ongoing investigations into the stabbing of a teenage boy at Parramatta six weeks ago.
Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command were called to Church Street, Parramatta, about 9.45pm on Friday 28 August 2020, following reports a 17-year-old boy had been stabbed.
The boy was taken to Westmead Hospital, where he was treated for a collapsed lung and lacerations to his chest, back, arms, head and face. He has since been released from hospital.
Parramatta detectives also attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Their inquiries revealed the boy and his friend had been speaking with a group of six other males, before they became involved in an argument with one of them.
The situation escalated and the 17-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times.
Following extensive investigations, two search warrants were executed by detectives, with the assistance of South West Metropolitan Region Operations Support Group, at homes at Merrylands West and Carramar from 7am today (Thursday 8 October 2020).
Three males – aged 16, 17 and 18 – have been arrested and taken to local police stations, where they will be charged.
Investigations are continuing.
