NSW police charge two over aggravated break and enter at Young

Two men have been charged after allegedly breaking into a licenced premises in the Hume region at the weekend.

Just before 12.30am on Saturday (16 October 2021), two people allegedly forced their way into a licenced venue on Cloete Street, Young, before consuming alcoholic beverages.

One of the men allegedly discharged a fire extinguisher in the function room.

The pair were found by cleaning staff, who escorted them off the premises.

The incident was reported to officers from The Hume Police District on Monday (17 October 2021), who commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, a 31-year-old man was arrested at Penrith Police Station about 2pm on Tuesday (19 October 2021).

He was charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence and destroy or damage property.

The Glenmore Park man was granted conditional bail to appear in Penrith Local Court on Tuesday 2 November 2021.

Just before 9.30am yesterday (Wednesday 20 October 2021), a 34-year-old man was arrested at Young Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company.

The Bowen Mountain man was given conditional bail to appear in Young Local Court on Tuesday 2 November 2021.
